Camp Mission: Preparing you for the 360 days you’re not at camp!

Preparation is the process of making ready. What does it look like to make ready the Christian life? The Scriptures teach us to consider who we are, where we are going, and how we are going to get there. The everyday struggle with identity finds its remedy in Christ. The ongoing struggle for direction finds its focus in Christ. The motive and mission of laboring in the harvest finds its meaning in Christ. The New Covenant in the blood of Christ is our identity, our compass, and our drive. May the newness of our new birth find us in step with the myriads of saints gone by that have prepared and executed their allotted handbreadths for the cause of the Kingdom, and may preparing students for the 360 be an intentional effort in training the forgiven for faithfulness.

This summer Onecamp360 has commissioned another team of ministers to deliver to our students biblical training to further establish a foundational biblical worldview.

2018 Theme: Sola Fide (Faith Alone)

On the heels of the 2017 theme of “REPENT.” we will turn our attention to Sola Fide, latin for FAITH ALONE. This is not the faith that the chair you are sitting in will continue to hold you up, or that the breakfast cereal you ate this morning without inspection, wasn’t poisoned at the factory, but salvific faith. The belief that the new testament refers to as “πίστις” (pistis). This conviction of the truth is directional; it is faith toward Jesus Christ, and in as much as we are called to repent from sin we are being bid to believe in Christ, the eternal object of our faith.

This year at Onecamp360 our speakers will present to you Jesus alone as the eternal object of faith for our justification, the tension between faith and works, and ultimately join in the evangelical cry that salvation is by grace alone, through FAITH ALONE in Christ alone.

May the spark of Sola Fide again ignite a reformation in our culture as we look to Christ alone to save us.

I have had one message for Jews and Greeks alike—the necessity of repenting from sin and turning to God, and of having faith in our Lord Jesus.
