PREPARING YOU FOR THE 360 DAYS YOU'RE NOT AT CAMP!
Camp Mission: Preparing you for the 360 days you’re not at camp!
Preparation is the process of making ready. What does it look like to make ready the Christian life? The Scriptures teach us to consider who we are, where we are going, and how we are going to get there. The everyday struggle with identity finds its remedy in Christ. The ongoing struggle for direction finds its focus in Christ. The motive and mission of laboring in the harvest finds its meaning in Christ. The New Covenant in the blood of Christ is our identity, our compass, and our drive. May the newness of our new birth find us in step with the myriads of saints gone by that have prepared and executed their allotted handbreadths for the cause of the Kingdom, and may preparing students for the 360 be an intentional effort in training the forgiven for faithfulness.
This summer Onecamp 360 has commissioned our trusted team of ministers to deliver to our students biblical training to further establish a foundational biblical worldview.
2023 Theme: CANCELED (Are you willing to be canceled?)
cancel verb
1 e: to withdraw one's support for (someone, such as a celebrity, or something, such as a company) publicly and especially on social media
CANCELED… DEPLATFORMED…. DEFUNDED… UNSUPPORTED…
Once upon a time, before preachers, politicians, and professional athletes were deplatformed, before actors, comedians, and musicians were silenced, before businesses, organizations, and nonprofits were defunded, Christians were warned there would be a cost to following Jesus.
Has everyone that has been canceled in our culture been born again? NO. Have all Christ followers been officially sanctioned or unsupported? NO. Has every disciple of King Jesus been exclusively cautioned that to follow after our Lord it would cost us everything, and in turn to “calculate the cost” in order that we may finish. YES. Are you willing to be CANCELED?
Join us for 5 days of preparing you and your students to acknowledge Jesus before others, love Christ MORE, to take up our cross and follow Him, and to lose our lives that we might find real LIFE. This is not new, it’s the reminder that we all need that we are on mission, in a spiritual battle, and to salt and light as we GO. May we again confess JESUS IS BETTER and be found worthy of Him.
Luke 14:25-35
The Cost of Following Jesus
25 Now great crowds were traveling with him. So he turned and said to them, 26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, and even his own life—he cannot be my disciple. 27 Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.
28 “For which of you, wanting to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it? 29 Otherwise, after he has laid the foundation and cannot finish it, all the onlookers will begin to ridicule him, 30 saying, ‘This man started to build and wasn’t able to finish.’
31 “Or what king, going to war against another king, will not first sit down and decide if he is able with ten thousand to oppose the one who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 If not, while the other is still far off, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace. 33 In the same way, therefore, every one of you who does not renounce[a] all his possessions cannot be my disciple.
34 “Now, salt is good, but if salt should lose its taste, how will it be made salty? 35 It isn’t fit for the soil or for the manure pile; they throw it out. Let anyone who has ears to hear listen.”

Acknowledging Christ
32 “Therefore, everyone who will acknowledge me before others, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever denies me before others, I will also deny him before my Father in heaven. 34 Don’t assume that I came to bring peace on the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I came to turn
a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
36 and a man’s enemies will be
the members of his household.[a]
37 The one who loves a father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; the one who loves a son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 And whoever doesn’t take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Anyone who finds his life will lose it, and anyone who loses his life because of me will find it.
